CIF officials on Friday announced the match-ups and dates for next weekend’s CIF softball finals at Deanna Manning Stadium at Colonel Bill Barber Marine Park Park in Irvine.
Four Orange County teams will be going for CIF titles.

FRIDAY, JUNE 18:

Division 4: 3:30 p.m., Rosary vs. Hemet
Division 1: 6:30 p.m., Roosevelt vs. Esperanza
SATURDAY, JUNE 19:
Gates open at 9 a.m.
Division 7: 9:30 a.m., Lakeside vs. St. Monica
Division 3: 12:30 p.m., Sultana vs. Redondo Union
Division 6: 3:30 p.m., Orange Vista vs. St. Bonaventure
Division 2: 6:30 p.m. ,Villa Park vs. Upland

SEMIFINAL HIGHLIGHTS
In Thursday’s semifinals, Esperanza knocked off top-seeded Norco 7-2 to advance to the finals; Rosary topped Oxnard 2-1 in Division 4. Hemet defeated Segerstrom 3-1 in the other semifinal, denying the Jaguars their first trip to the finals.
Villa Park (24-2) defeated Westlake 7-4 in a Division 2 semifinal. The Spartans are off to the finals for the first time sinced 1979. Sydney Somerndike pitched a complete game, striking out 15 and allowing four hits to lead the Spartans and was also 1 for 4 at the plate.
Mikayla Maher was 1 for 2 with an RBI and two walks. Jordyn Lawhon was 1 for 2 with a double and a walk, RIley Sandvig was 1 for 3 with two RBI and a walk and Andreya Flores was 1 for 3 with a home run, RBI and a walk.
Ocean View captured a 1-0 victory over San Marcos in a Division 5 semifinal to advance to the championship game.
“It was a great game yesterday,” said Athletic Director Tim Walsh. “Our pitcher, Desyree Arizmendi, struck out 14. Senior center fielder Ariana Hencke drove in the only run.”
Ocean View won CIF titles in 2008 and 1985, and lost in the finals in 1982.
