SANTA MARGARITA 7, RANCHO BERNARDO 1: The No. 7-seeded Eagles won their opener Tuesday and move on to the semifinals Thursday vs. top-seeded Orange Lutheran at 4 p.m. at Hart Park. Jake Lavin was 1 for 3 with a home run and three RBI, Carter Enoch was 3 for 4 with an RBI and Logan De Groot 2 for 4 to lead Santa Margarita (22-9-1).

HUNTINGTON BEACH 8, GRANITE HILLS 3: The No-3 seeded Oilers (24-9) won their opener Tuesday at home and advance into the semifinals Thursday at home at 4 p.m. vs. No. 7 La Mirada.
