SANTA MARGARITA 6, GAHR 3: The Eagles (21-8-1) advanced to the quarterfinals with a win Tuesday at home. Brennan Bauer was the winning pitcher. He allowed three runs and struck out six in 5 1/3 innings. Logan DeGroot was 1 for 3 with three RBI, Warren Gravely and Gavin Spiridonoff were both 2 for 2 with an RBI and Jake Lavin 1 for 3 with an RBI.
Santa Margarita plays at Huntington Beach Friday.

SANTA ANA 3, CORNERSTONE CHRISTIAN 1: The Saints (14-12-1) won at home Tuesday in a second round game to advance into the quarterfinals at home on Friday vs. Desert Christian. Julian Gonzalez went five innings allowing one earned run and one hit while striking out eight. Ian Ramirez finished with two scoreless and hitless innings, striking out four.
Nehemiah Jatib was 2 for 3 while Gonzalez and Angel Torres each had an RBI.
“Absolutely gutty performance by the whole Saints team, playing as a true unit,” said Saints Coach Louis Oakley.
