CIF PLAYOFFS: Woodbridge, Estancia capture opening round wins and scores of other games

WOODBRIDGE 63, WEST COVINA 38: The Warriors won in the opening round of the CIF Division 2AA playoffs.

Teagan Burus scored 18 points, Hana Watanabe had 15 points and Ashley Cheng 12 points to lead Woodbridge (22-4). The Warriors play Chino Hills Wednesday in the second round.

ESTANCIA 57, SILVER VALLEY 18: The Eagles captured a victory Saturday in the CIF 5A playoffs at Yermo. Alexis Orellana led Estancia with 13 points and six rebounds and freshman Jaydin McClure had 10 points and 15 rebounds. Mackenzie Sanchez added eight points with 12 assists.

SANTIAGO CORONA 64, PORTOLA 39: Santiago (18-9) won the 2A playoff game Saturday night. Rylee Ghent had 21 points and McKinley Willardson 18 points to lead Santiago. Portola (18-9) was led by Moka Saiki, who had 20 points.
