LA HABRA 11, LINFIELD CHRISTIAN 1: The Highlanders captured a quarterfinal round victory Thursday on the road and are headed to the semifinals Tuesday to meet the winner of Friday’s game between Calvary Chapel/Santa Ana and Barstow.
La Habra (21-10) was led by Josh Castillo, who pitched five strong innings striking out seven. David Shackelford was 3 for 4 with a double, home run and seven RBI, Jesse Lopez was 2 for 4 with two RBI, Matt Flores and Andre Viveros were 2 for 4 and Matt Coats had four stolen bases.
