Newport Harbor 7, Downey 3: Trent Liolios pitched the first six innings for Newport Harbor (19-11) and Joey Wright finished the game on the mound. Wright was 2 for 3 with two RBI, Jackson Gilles was 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBI, AJ Guitron-Moore was 2 for 3 with a double and two runs scored and Troy Christensen was 1 for 2 with an RBI. The Sailors host Oaks Christian Tuesday.

DIVISION 4

Fullerton 14, Santiago Corona 9

Tesoro 1, Valencia 0: The Titans (22-8) advanced into the semifinals with a win Friday. Coleton Dahl pitched a complete game, striking out six. Kevin McCafferey was 2 for 4 with a run scored and Hunter Sablatura was 2 for 4 with an RBI. Tesoro will host El Modena Tuesday.

El Modena 2, South Torrance 0

DIVISION 5

Tustin 2, Temple City 0: UCI commit Riley Kelly threw a 3-hitter and struck out 13 to lead the Tillers to the semifinals for the first time since 2000. A big crowd showed up on a 95-degree day at Tustin. Click here for story and photos.

Anaheim 9, Whittier Christian 1

Estancia 5, Hesperia Christian 0: Andrew Mits (9-4) threw a complete game, allowing five hits and striking out seven to lead the Eagles into the semifinals for the first time. Second seeded Estancia hosts Santa Ynez Tuesday at 3:15 p.m. Jack Moyer was 2 for 4 with two RBI, Miles Moyer was 1 for 4 with a run scored an an RBI and Andrew Coyotzi and John Uchytil also had hits for the second-seeded Eagles (26-5).

Santiago 9, Wiseburn DaVinci 3
