CIF baseball playoff highlights and final scores for OC teams on Friday, May 5

DIVISION 1

Etiwanda 5, Capistrano Valley 2

Villa Park 3, Damien 0: The Spartans advanced behind a complete game by Brandon Luu. Luu allowed no runs and struck out nine. Gavin Grahovac was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and a home run for Villa Park.

DIVISION 2

Fullerton 5, Fountain Valley 4: The Indians pushed across a run on a sacrifice fly in the seventh to advance into the second round against Gahr. Click here for a full report.

Capo Valley Christian 7, Temecula Valley 1

Tesoro 2, Paloma Valley 1 (8 innings): The Titans earned a walk-off win. Jackson Freeman led off the eighth inning with a home run. Owen Faust was 2 for 4, Freeman was 1 for 3 with two RBI. Jake Lamdin was 1 for 3 with and also got the win, striking out four in two innings.

Charter Oak 11, Woodbridge 5: Charter Oak battled back from a 4-0 early deficit and scored seven runs in the sixth inning to advance into the second round. Woodbridge made four errors in the game, leading to nine unearned runs. Click here for a full report.

Ocean View 10, Crescenta Valley 0: Spencer Johnson went the distance to help the Seahawks win a first-round game.

San Clemente 7, Cerrritos 5: The Tritons won a make-up game Friday in Cerritos. Mike Erspamer went six innings, allowing one run for San Clemente. The Tritons will play at Westlake Tuesday.

Long Beach Poly 7, Beckman 6

DIVISION 4

Crean Lutheran 24, Poly Pasadena 3: The top-seeded Saints jumped out to a 10-1 lead in the second inning before rolling to the road win. Click here for a full report.

Arrowhead Christian 8, Orange 0

Sultana 5, Laguna Hills 0

Northwood 7, St. Bonaventure 0: The bats came alive Friday for the third-seeded Timberwolves in the game at Northwood. Bobby Bangs threw five scoreless innings giving up just one hit and striking out eight, according to Coach Doug Euper. He also went 2 for 3 at the plate with a double and a triple. Casey Euper went the final two innings striking out four and did not allow a hit. Rylan Littlejohn went 2 for 2 and drove in three runs. Kai Mo was 2 for 3 and Adam Harper was 2 for 3 with two runs scored. Northwood (18-11) plays at Canyon Tuesday in the second round.

La Habra 3, Malibu 0: The Highlanders got a combined no-hitter from Jared Day and Matt Viveros to advance into the second round Tuesday. Day pitched six innings, striking out seven. Vivieros pitched one inning, striking out one. Jacob Garcia was 1 for 3 with an RBI, Andrew Gandara was 2 for 3 with an RBI, Spencer Carty was 1 for 3 with a double and Bobby Brooks 1 for 3 with.

Canyon 11, Oak Hills 2: Cohen Gomez notched the win for the Comanches (16-12). He also had a home run for Canyon. Brycen Brunswick also homered for Canyon, which hosts Northwood Tuesday in the second round.
