CIF baseball playoff brackets: Three OC teams seeded in top four of Division 1

Crean Lutheran High School’s baseball team, coached by Jake Haney, is seeded No. 1 in Division 4 for the CIF playoffs.

The Saints (19-8) will open the playoffs Friday on the road against Pasadena Poly (11-10).

In Division 1, Notre Dame Sherman Oaks is seeded first, Santa Margarita (Trinity League champion) second, Huntington Beach (Surf League champion) third and JSerra (Trinity League No. 3) fourth.

In Division 4, Northwood is seeded third and La Habra fourth.

In a Division 7 wild card game Tuesday, Pacifica Christian plays at Rolling Hills Prep. The winner moves on to face Coast Union on the road Thursday in the opening round.

The playoffs include wild card games in Division 6 on Wednesday: Costa Mesa, the No. 4 team from the Orange Coast League, plays at Desert Mirage and Santiago, the No. 3 team from the Garden Grove League, plays at Lancaster.

Opening round games are Thursday and Friday. The Orange Lutheran at Arlington Division 1 game has been changed to Wednesday in anticipation of possible rain on Thursday.

Also, the Division 5 game between Calvary Chapel and Century has been changed to Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Century, according to Century AD Matt Cavanaugh.

Woodbridge, the Pacific Coast League champion, hosts Charter Oak Friday at 3:15 p.m. at Ryan Lemmon Stadium in the Division 2 opener. PCL teams Northwood, Laguna Hills and Beckman are also in the playoffs.

Orange Coast League champion Estancia is home Thursday to host Salesian in Division 5. The Eagles, coached by Nate Goellrich, are the defending CIF Divsion 6 champions.

Division 1 (Wednesday-Thursday)

Empire League champion Cypress hosts Mira Costa Thursday. Also, El Dorado at San Dimas, Capistrano Valley at Etiwanda, JSerra at Yucaipa, Warren at Huntington Beach, Damien at Villa Park, Orange Lutheran at Arlington (Wednesday), Pacifica at Torrance and Foothill at Santa Margarita.

Division 2 (Friday)

Temecula Valley at Capo Valley Christian, Crescenta Valley at Ocean View, Oaks Christian at Mater Dei, Newport Harbor at Gahr, Fountain Valley at Fullerton, Paloma Valley at Tesoro and Charter Oak at Woodbridge (Ryan Lemmon Stadium).

Division 3 (Wednesday-Thursday)

Dana Hills at Aliso Niguel, Centennial Corona at Yorba Linda, Temescal Canyon At Edison, Beckman at Long Beach Poly, Segerstrom at Palm Desert and San Clemente at Cerritos.

Division 4 (Friday)

Crean Lutheran at Pasadena Poly, Arrowhead Christian at Orange, Laguna Hills at Saltana, St. Bonaventure at Northwood, Canyon at Oak Hills, Malibu at La Habra and Ramona at Brea Olinda.

Division 5 (Wednesday-Thursday)

Kennedy at Montebello, Anaheim at Marshall, Calvary Chapel at Century (Wednesday, 3:30 p.m.), Whittier Christian at Katella, Salesian at Estancia and JW North at Savanna.

Division 6 (Friday)

Wild card A (Western Christian-Rialto) at Loara and Los Amigos at Dunn.
