Newport Harbor’s Dayne Chalmers, George Dyer of Saddleback Valley Christian and Caden Perkins of El Modena received player of the year honors for their divisions on the All-CIF boys volleyball teams.
The awards were announced Thursday by the LA 84 Foundation and selected by the CIF Boys Volleyball Coaches Association.
Chalmers, a senior, was selected Division 1 player of the year and Sailors Coach Rocky Ciarelli was named coach of the year after leading Newport Harbor to the Division 1 and Southern California regional titles.
Dyer was named Division 2 player of the year and SVC Coach Ryan Van Rensselaer was named coach of the year after leading the team to the CIF title.
Perkins was named CIF Division 5 player of the year after leading El Modena to the CIF Division 5 title and Vanguards Coach John Cahill was named coach of the year for the division.
