Brea Olinda High School’s second year coach head football coach Jae Kim is looking for talented returning players to lead the Wildcats to a successful season in 2023.
Key players include Tim Carmona, a returning starter on both the offensive and defensive lines, who the Wildcats hope will control the line of scrimmage this season; returning senior Rene Gonzalez who is expected to be one of the top receivers and is an adept run and pass blocker; and defensive back Micah Pedraza, who had a great spring and summer leading up to this season. Pedraza is expected to play strong safety.
Another top player is Jake Brooks, a returning junior who is expected to play outside linebacker. He loves to fly around and make tackles.
Junior quarterback Cullen Doyle is expected to be the leader of the offense.
Doyle had a big sophomore season, earning second team All-Crestview League honors. He has worked hard in the off-season to prepare himself for leading the Wildcats.
Brea Olinda is trying to bounce back from a 3-7 overall record and 0-3 mark in the Crestview League last season.
