University broke open a close game with a 15-5 run in the third quarter to win 46-35 in a non-league girls basketball game at Woodbridge Friday night.
Junior forward Rae Li sparked the third quarter run with three drives to the basket for six of her eight points. University (4-10) was led by senior point guard Ai Miyano with 13 points (three 3-pointers), four assists and three steals.
Woodbridge (3-10) had two players in double figures: senior guard Elizabeth Yasui had 16 points and three 3-pointers and sophomore forward Lillianna Motley scored 10 points.
