Bella Maceranka of Laguna Hills High School made it official Wednesday and signed her national letter of intent to compete in diving at University of South Dakota, where she received a scholarship.
Maceranka has competed for the Crown Valley Divers Club under Coach Curt Wilson and made USA Zones last year.
Maceranka, the daughter of Laguna Hills football coach Mike Maceranka, said she plans to major in either sports broadcasting or sports management.
“It was surreal, I have been doing this for 20 years for other people’s kids and today it was mine,” Coach Maceranka said. “We are so proud of her hard work and achievement of her goal of earning a Division 1 scholarship.”
