Beckman’s girls basketball team handed Portola its first loss in Pacific Coast League play Tuesday night, defeating the Bulldogs 52-49 in overtime.
Beckman (3-6, 3-1) was led by Caitlyn Muller and Alyssa Yang, who each scored 17 points.
Portola (7-1, 5-1) was led by Allyson Tabayoyong, who scored 27 points and Moka Saiki, who scored seven points.
CREAN LUTHERAN 65, PACIFICA 27: The Saints (2-1 in league play) were led by Emily Reed, who had 14 points and made 8 of 10 from the free throw line. She also had two rebounds and four assists.
Taylor Feldman scored 19 points and had two steals, five rebounds and six assists. Aynsley Bryan scored 10 points and Maddie Snyder had seven points and four rebounds.
