Beckman’s baseball team capped a perfect week at the Chino Hills Brian Hamilton Tournament defeating Chino 6-1 Saturday to capture the tournament championship.
Nick McLain of Beckman was named the tournament MVP. He pitched 4 2/3 inning with four saves and did not allow a hit or a run. At the plate, he was 7 for 14 with two doubles, a triple, a home run and five RBI.
Mick Hyodo was 2-for-4 with three RBI and a triple, Cooper Munro was 2-for-4 with a double and RBI and McLain was 1 for 2 with a triple.
Tristan Dupont improved his record to 2-1 pitching six innings and allowing only one hit. Beckman broke the game open with three runs in the sixth inning.
