A field of 19 teams is set to compete in the annual Ryan Lemmon Invitational high school baseball tournament beginning Saturday, March 29 at the Great Park in Irvine.
The tournament, sponsored by Guy Lemmon’s Ryan Lemmon Foundation, runs through Wednesday, April 2. It’s one of the longest running and most popular tournaments in Southern California.
“It’s a very good field of teams again with three teams from Utah,” said tournament director Dick Owens of the Ryan Lemmon Foundation. “Plus USC will be playing San Diego State at the stadium on Tuesday, April 1. Free admission.”
There will not be any tournament games in the stadium on the day USC plays, but there will be tournament games on field eight and nine at the Great Park.
Games will start on Saturday, March 29 and continue on Monday, March 31; Tuesday, April 1 and Wednesday, April 2.
Games are pre-determined for the first three days. The schedule for the final day will be announced late Tuesday. The championship game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at the Great Park Stadium.

La Serna vs. Irvine, stadium, 9 a.m.
Villa Park vs. Laguna Beach, stadium, noon
Viewmont vs. Crean Lutheran, stadium, 3 p.m.
Salem Hills vs. Pacifica, stadium, 5 p.m.
Yucaipa vs. Foothill, 11 a.m., field eight
San Dimas vs. Canyon, 2 p.m. field eight
Fullerton vs. Northwood, 5 p.m. field eight
University vs. Tustin, 11:15 a.m., field nine
Woods Cross vs. Woodbridge, 2:15 p.m., field nine

Tickets are $12 general admission, $35 tournament pass for all four days, students 13-18 $3, under 12 free, seniors over 60 $5. Programs will be available for $3.
