Aliso Niguel’s football team captured a 45-20 victory over Foothill Friday night at Tustin to advance to the second round of the CIF Division 9 playoffs.
The Wolverines (10-1) will host Garden Grove Friday at 7 p.m.
In Friday’s game against Foothill, visiting Aliso Niguel jumped out to a 21-7 lead at halftime and broke the game open by outscoring Foothill 24-7 in the final quarter.
Foothill, the North Hills League champion, finished the season 4-7.
