Servite (3-1), coached by Troy Thomas, will be the home team for the game, which starts at 7 p.m.
“Tomorrow morning we get after it,” said Mater Dei receiver Bru McCoy after Friday’s victory in front of an estimated 10,000 fans at Santa Ana Stadium. “We work out and we condition. The league is different because we don’t get any rest. Fortunately we had the bye week so now we go five straight. ….We’re going to come with it.”
Mater Dei quarterback Bryce Young added:
“We’re going to take it week by week and keep growing as a family and as a team. We’re going to celebrate this one tonight and get back to work tomorrow and keep getting better.”
“Now we got to go into the Trinity League and play one week at a time,” added Coach Bruce Rollinson. “We’re at the halftime point, 5-0, (Monarchs are 4-1 due to one forfeit) that’s how my kids and I look at it so we’re right where we want to be going into the bloodbaths of the Trinity League.”
