PORTOLA 53, NORTHWOOD 40: The Bulldogs (8-1 overall) remained atop the Pacific Coast League standings with the win Tuesday night.
Allyson Tabayoyong scored 19 points, Kira Watanabe had 16 points and Lauren Shiihara 13 points to lead Portola (6-1, in league).
Northwood (4-5, 4-4) was led by Erin Halle, who scored nine points and Alexis Chang, who had seven points.
WOODBRIDGE 33, IRVINE 28; Woodbridge coach Keith Clarkson returned after sitting out two weeks due to coronavirus protocol. One of Woodbridge’s junior varsity players tested positive for COVID-19, so Clarkson, who also works with the JV, had to sit out.
Ashley Cheng scored 13 points and Lexi Gadea 10 points to lead Woodbridge (5-2, 4-2) in the Pacific Coast League game Tuesday night.
“This was my first game back in two weeks of quarantine,” Clarkson said. “Today we were missing two of our regular starters but had an outstanding defensive effort to get this big win for us.
CREAN LUTHERAN 57, KENNEDY 43: Taylor Feldman scored 24 points and had eight steals to lead Crean Lutheran (4-1 in league). Gianna DeForest scored nine points and had seven rebounds, Maya Bland had eight points and 11 rebounds and Emily Reed scored eight points and had two steals for the host Saints.
