Thursday night, they were ready to play, said Coach Joseph Tagaloa. Nathan Tagaloa, Coach Tagaloa’s son, had both scores for the Jaguars, who have two games left in the abbreviated spring season.

“Tonight we played extremely hard for quarters,” Coach Tagaloa said after the game. “I am very proud of our guys and the effort they gave the entire game. Offensively we were led by our offensive of line who just continued to grind all night.

“Nathan Tagaloa scored both touchdowns for us tonight and was our leading rusher. Defensively the entire unit played lights out. Everybody was fired up running around and getting to the ball. I’m extremely proud of our guys tonight dealing with all the adversity that they faced leading up to this point and to be able to go out there tonight and play jaguar football was amazing to watch.

“Hats off to Katella, they were a tough team and battled all night. At the end, we were able to control the ball and keep their offense off the field. Jalen Cervantes had a big sack late in the game that punctuated our defensive effort.”

Katella fell to 2-1.
