Orange County high school boys soccer teams open the CIF playoffs on Wednesday, Feb. 12
In Division 1, South Coast League champion San Clemente is seeded first, Mission League champion Loyola is second, Bay League champion Palos Verdes third and Del Rey League Champion Cathederal is fourth.
San Clemente (20-1-3) opens at home Wednesday at 5 p.m. vs. Katella (11-7).
Also on Wednesday, Orange Coast League champion Santa Ana hosts San Juan Hills at Santa Ana Stadium at 3 p.m., Golden West League champion Godinez hosts Santa Ana Valley, the No. 2 team from the Orange League at 5 p.m. at Santa Ana Valley and Century, the No. 3 team from the Orange League is at Newburty Park at 5 p.m.
Other Division 1 matches include:
Corona del Mar, the No. 2 team from the Surf League is at Servite, the Trinity League’s No. 2 team, at 3:15 p.m.
Aliso Niguel, the Sea View League’s No. 2 team, is at Paramount, the San Gabriel Valley League champion, at 3 p.m.
Mater Dei, the No. 3 team from the Trinity League is at Fountain Valley, the Wave League’s No. 1 team.
Santa Margarita, the Trinity League’s at-large team, is at Loyola, the Mission League’s No. 1 team.
Cabrillo, the Moore League’s No. 3 team, is at JSerra, the Trinity League’s No. 1 team.
Mission Viejo, the South Coast League’s No. 2 team, is at Edison, the Surf League’s No. 1 team, at 5 p.m. and Capo Valley, an at-large team from the South Coast League is at Cathedral, the Del Rey League’s No. 1 team, at 5:15 p.m.
University, the No. 2 team out of the Pacific Coast League, is at Mira Costa, the No. 2 team from the Bay League.
Matches in Division 2 include:
Segerstrom, third place in the Golden West League, is at El Dorado, the Crestview League champion.
Newport Harbor, the Surf League at-large team, is at Santiago Garden Grove, the Garden Grove League champion.
Estancia, the Orange Coast League No. 3 team, is at La Habra, the Freeway League’s No. 2 team.
Fullerton, the Freeway League’s No. 3 team, will play at Huntington Beach, the Wave League’s No. 2 team, at 5 p.m.
Corona, the Big VIII at-large team, will play at Tesoro, the Sea View League’s No. 1 team.
Laguna Hills, the Sea View League’s No. 3 team, will play at Sunny Hills, the Freeway League’s No. 1 team.
Saddleback, the Orange Coast League’s No. 2 team, will play at Brea Olinda, the Crestview League champion.
Riverside Poly, the Ivy League’s No. 3 team, will play at Woodbridge, the Pacific Coast League No. 1 team, at 3 p.m.
Matches in Division 3 include:
Top-seeded Tustin, the Empire League champion, hosts Leuzinger, the Bay League’s at-large team at 5 p.m.
Northwood, the PCL’s No. 3 team, is at Santiago Corona, the Big VIII champion.
Esperanza, the North Hills No. 2 team, is at Loara, the Garden Grove League’s No. 2 team.
Other divisions:
In Division 4, Cypress, the at-large team from the Empire League, is at No. 2 seeded Canyon, the North Hills League No. 1 team.
In Division 7, St. Paul, the Camino Real League’s No. 3 team, is at Tarbut ‘V Torah, which tied for first in the San Joaquin League.
