The Southern California Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association will host its annual fall coaches clinic at Hope International University on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Registration will be at 8 a.m.
“The event offers coaches an opportunty to collaborate with their peers while being able to learn from some of the top coaches in the sport,” said Greg Coombs, executive director of SCIBA and Godinez boys basketball coach.
Coaches will begin the day watching a full team practice followed by a question and answer session with Hope International Head Coach Billy Czech and his staff.
Following the Hope practice session, Tim O’Brien, Head Coach at Northwood high school and recent inductee to the SCIBCA Hall of Fame will the give a presentation “Challenging your Coaching Philosophy” from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
The clinic is free to all Southern California coaches of all levels of play, and will include coffee and donuts in the morning followed by a free lunch
After the events at Hope International Cal State Fullerton will allow coaches to attend their intra-squad scrimmage at Titan gym and have a question and answer session with Head Coach Dedrique Taylor from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
