It’s a busy day of high school baseball and OC Sports Zone will be following a number of games in Orange County and planning reports later tonight.
In the Wave League, Corona del Mar under first-year Coach Kevin McCaffrey opens league play at Marina and in the Surf League, Benji Medure’s Huntington Beach team hosts Fountain Valley at 3:15 p.m.
It’s also a busy afternoon in the Pacific Coast League as Northwood hosts Irvine, Woodbridge plays at Portola and league-leading Beckman plays at University. All the PCL games start at 3:30 p.m.
In the Golden West League, Segerstrom and Ocean View, the top two teams, are meeting in a 3:15 p.m. game at Ocean View.
