Corona del Mar and Beckman each captured baseball victories Saturday in tournament play.
CdM extended its record to 2-0 with a 4-2 victory ovger La Habra in the Newport Elks Tournament.
Kieran Sidebotham had a 2-run hit to give the Sea Kings the lead. Ryan Zimmerman had a big RBI for CdM.
Matt DeCrona was 1 for 2 with three stolen bases. Jarrett Thompson started and threw four innings giving up two runs.
Luke Joyce got the victory going 2 1/3 innings and Tanner Ivey got the save.
Also on Saturday, Beckman captured an 11-2 victory over Montclair in the Chino Tournament. Sean Ledendecker got his first varsity start and first varsity career win.
