Consolation

Beckman 52, Cal San Ramon 51: Caydon Do had 21 points and four steals in three quarters to lead Beckman. Tai Nguyen added 15 points for the Patriots.

“We’ve had a lot of close losses this year and I’m proud of the guys for pulling this one out,” said Beckman Coach Lucas Armstrong. “We clawed our way back into the game and never gave up. California is a very gritty team and it feels good to be on the right side of things tonight.”

ESTANCIA CLASSIC

Gold Division

Woodbridge 73, LB Cabrillo 42: The Warriors earned a spot in Friday’s 7:30 p.m. championship game with a pool play victory. Stephen Lamp scored 23 points and had 10 rebounds, JC Schindler scored 20 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had five assists, Jaiden Sabino had 14 points and five assists and Jason Briggs 10 points and 10 rebounds for Woodbridge.

San Clemente 69, Irvine 28: San Clemente moves on to face Woodbridge Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in the final. Christian Fernandez scored 13 points, Chase Tolliver had 10 points and Will Whidden had nine points and six blocks to lead the Tritons. Taewon Kim had 11 points and Felix Bublitz eight points to lead Irvine (8-9).

Note: Woodbridge meets San Clemente for the championship Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Laguna Beach faces Fountain Valley for third place.

Silver Division

Tarbut V’ Torah 60, Legacy 46: TVT was led by Yonah Light, who had 26 points. Graydon Carpet added 10 points and Jacob Coblentz-Brown eight points and 12 rebounds for the Lions.

Los Amigos 58, Segerstrom 56

Note: Valencia meets El Modena Saturday at 6 p.m. for the championship. Estancia faces Norwalk for third place at 3 p.m.

CAROLINA INVITATIONAL

Newport Harbor 75, Chapel Hill 46: The Sailors (15-2) won their second straight game at the tournament. Dash Bastedo scored 16 points with four 3-pointers and Riggs Guy scored 12 points to help Newport Harbor reach the finals on Saturday.

DAMIEN CLASSIC

Pacifica Christian 62, St. Paul 56: Pacifica Christian was led by EJ Spillman who had 22 points and six assists. Logan Stewart had 11 points and 16 rebounds and Alex Stewart 10 points and eight rebounds.

Foothill 64, Birmingham 35: The Knights were led by Isaiah Bernard, who had 14 points, five assists and three rebounds. Travis Paleo had 12 points and five assists, Rocco Gaffoglio scored 11 points and Blake Pearson scored 10 points.

San Juan Hills 68, Sage Hill 58: The Stallions were led by Mason Hodges, who scored 30 points. Adam Aziz added 12 points and Nate Brosch nine points.

Santa Margarita 75, Bishop O’Dowd 39: Brayden Kyman scored 25 points and had five 3-pointers for Santa Margarita (12-4). Cameron McNamee had 22 points, six 3-pointers and five rebounds. Santa Margarita plays in the consolation championship game Saturday at 3:20 p.m. vs. Torrey Pines.

TORREY PINES HOLIDAY CLASSIC

JSerra 75, St. Francis (NY) 57: The Lions (14-1) got back on the winning track Friday. Aidan Fowler had 20 points and Sebastian Rancik 18 points to lead JSerra.

Girls basketball

SO CAL HOLIDAY PREP CLASSIC

Woodbridge 50, Mater Dei Catholic (SD) 49: Woodbridge was led by Milan Heisdorf, who had 17 points. Teagan Burrus and Hana Watanabe had nine points each for Woodbridge. Burrus hit a 3-pointer with three seconds left to lift the Warriors to the win. Woodbridge moves on to face Santa Margarita in the championship game of the NAIA Gold Division.

CHRISTINA MAUSER MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT

Mira Costa 51, Portola 50: The Bulldogs were edged in the semifinals. Portola (15-5) was led by Nina Saiki with 15 points and Kira Watanabe with 12.

MARIA PITTMAN TOURNAMENT

Pacifica Christian 56, Pioneer 52: Pacifica Christian captured a semifinal victory to advance into the championship Saturday at 5:30 p.m. vs. Los Osos at Whittier High School. Lauryn Ham had the game-winning 3-point basket for Pacifica Christian.

SAVANNA HOLIDAY CLASSIC

JSerra 55, Valencia 39: The Lions captured their third title of the month with a win on Friday night. JSerra also won the Rosemead and San Pedro tournaments.
