Alyssa Grajeda was 3 for 4, freshman Zena Edwards had a pinch-hit double in the seventh inning to drive in two runs and Kealani Caster was 2 for 3 with two RBI for JSerra, which will take on Moorpark at home Thursday in the quarterfinals. JSerra is 19-10 overall.

Fullerton 1, Summit 0: Fullerton freshman shortstop Melia Vera’s RBI in the first inning pushed across the only run of the game but it was enough to give the Indians a 1-0 victory over Summit (16-11) Tuesday in a second round CIF Division 4 softball playoff game at Fullerton.
The Indians (21-6) move onto the quarterfinals and will travel to Long Beach Poly (17-6) on Thursday. LB Poly defeated ML King 5-3 on Tuesday. —Tom Connolly

Irvine 11, Paramount 1: Top-seeded Irvine (18-9) won a second round game Tuesday, called after five innings due to the mercy rule. Freshman Katie Liu went 3 for 4 with a triple and three runs scored and freshman Harper Vandermolen went 3 for 4 with a home run and six RBI to lead the offense. Hyli DeLosSantos scattered four hits allowing one run. Coach Jim Knapp’s team plays at Ocean View (18-5) Thursday in the quarterfinals.
Ocean View 2, Mark Keppel 0: Kaitlyn Knobbe pitched another shutout for the Seahawks Sienne Erskine and McKenzie King had clutch RBI for Ocean View, which hosts Irvine Thursday.
