ESTANCIA 8, BRENTWOOD 3: The Eagles (16-3 overall) captured a non-league victory over Brentwood Saturday.
Freshman Miles Dodge (1-0) earned the win, pitching 2 2/3 innings. He allowed one hit and no runs.
Freshman Nico Viramontes came on to pitch 2 1/3 innings, allowing one hit and no runs. Freshman Sawyer Atkinson pitched the last two innings.
Cole Lefebvre led Estancia offensively, going 2 for 4 with a run scored, RBI and a double. John Uchytil was 2 for 3 with a run scored and three RBI, Emmett Shephard was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and Jake Humphries was 2 for 3 with three runs scored and an RBI.
Estancia resumes non-league play Monday night at 7 at TeWinkle Park in Costa Mesa hosting Savanna, the No. 5 ranked team in CIF. Estancia is No. 2 in Division 5.
