Irvine 64, University 51: Cooper Stearns scored 31 points and Daniel Shin 17 points to lead Irvine (13-9, 1-1) to a road victory Friday night.

Ocean View 58, Garden Grove 42: Senior Peyton Guerrero scored 26 points to lead Ocean View to a road victory Friday night. The Seahawks (11-8, 1-0) also got a 14-point effort from junior Brayden Ackerman. Garden Grove fell to 2-15 overall.

Foothill 56, Canyon 53: The Knights, ranked eighth in OC by OC Varsity, were led by Travis Paleo, who had 15 points; Carlo Billings, who had 12 points, nine rebounds and six assists; Isaiah Bernard, who had 10 points, five rebounds and five assists and Rocco Gaffoglio, who had eight points. Canyon was ranked third in the county.

Tesoro 67, Sanger 36: The Titans were led by Carson Brown, who had 36 points and eight rebounds. Jake Bennett had 12 points and Nathan Draper nine points and 10 rebounds. Tesoro continues its weekend action in Fresno with a game against Central Saturday at 5 p.m.

Woodbridge 44, Northwood 35: Woodbridge (12-6, 1-0) was led by Teagan Burrus, who had 17 points and Maddie Yasui and Milian Heisdorf who had eight points. Woodbridge Coach Keith Clarkson said this was a crossover game in the Pacific Coast Conference, adding that the eight teams are divided into two leagues, similar to football.
