CIF officials announced the seedings and brackets Saturday for the CIF girls volleyball playoffs.
Officials said that 288 teams qualified in the nine divisional playoff brackets. The single-elimination tournaments begin this week.
There is a new format for Division 1 which is a round-robin format starting on Wednesday.
Wild card matches (where necessary) will start on Tuesday for the other divisions.
First-round matches will be on Thursday for divisions other than Division 1. The championship finals will be conducted in a one-day, nine-match extravaganza at Cerritos College (Division 1) and designated host sites (Division 2-9) on Saturday, Nov. 5.

Division 1: 1. Mira Costa (32-3), Bay League Champion; 2. Sierra Canyon (25-4), Mission League Champion; 3. Marymount (28-6), Mission League Runner-Up; 4. Mater Dei (27-7), Trinity League Champion.
Division 2: 1. Redondo Union (26-11), Bay League No. 3 Entry; 2. Vista Murrieta (13-6), Southwestern League Champion; 3. Santa Margarita (21-12), Trinity League Runner-Up; 4. Aliso Niguel (19-6), South Coast League Champion.

Division 6: 1. Simi Valley (11-3), Coastal Canyon League Runner-Up; 2. Rancho Christian, (28-2), Sunbelt League Champion; 3. Poly/Riverside (14-5), Ivy League Co-Champion; 4. Santa Clarita Christian, (20-2), Heritage League Champion.
Division 7: 1. Coachella Valley (20-1), Desert Valley League Champions; 2. West Valley (16-2), Mountain Pass League Champion; 3. Glendale (22-11), Pacific League No. 3 Entry; 4. Nordhoff (14-2), Citrus Coast League Champion
