A moment of silence was held before Friday’s Irvine vs. Sonora football game at Irvine Stadium for Irvine High assistant coach Casey Dumont who died last month of sudden cardiac arrest, according to school officials.
In addition, Irvine players were wearing a decal with the initials on the back of their helmets in honor of Dumont.
Dumont was a special education teacher at Irvine High and also served as lead assistant varsity baseball coach for the Vaqueros.
