Cypress wins at Coyote Classic and Yorba Linda and Villa Park capture wins at Grizzly Invitational

Cypress’s boys basketball team defeated Crenshaw 89-65 in the semifinals of the Coyote Classic at Buena Park to move into the finals Saturday night.

Jared Brown, Anthony Tello and Clifton Patterson each had 20 points for the Centurions who will face Tesoro in the championship game Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Yorba Linda’s boys basketball team defeated Capo Valley Christian 53-41 Friday night to advance into the championship game of the Grizzly Invitational at Godinez.

The Mustangs will face Villa Park which defeated Newport Harbor 61-54
