WOODBRIDGE 69, EL TORO 48: Woodbridge (10-3) won its home opener Monday night. Jaiden Sabino scored 23 points, Zacc Saleh had 14 points, Kishan Pandhoh 11 points and Garrett DiContazo nine points.
“The boys were excited for their first home game of the year,” said Warrior Coach Steve Scoggin. “Jaiden was Jaiden. He got everyone involved on the break. El Toro played hard and is well coached. They were hitting their shots early and we had to speed the game up. Zacc Saleh had a great second half with his effort and was finishing on the break. Really proud of his second half.”
El Toro dropped to 5-10 overall.
ORANGE 59, MARSHALL 37: The Panthers (5-6) were down to a six-player rotation but had a strong second half to win at home.
Senior Sebastian Nunez led Orange with 13 points after missing the first five games with an injury. Junior Isaac Cruz and sophomore Dylan Rios had 11 points each and senior Landen Gomez added eight points.
SATURDAY, DEC. 13
ESPERANZA 67, LAKEWOOD 51: Esperanza (12-1) won its game at the Landry Fields Classic. Sophomore Mason Moore had 18 points, seven rebounds and five steals, senior Vincent Garza had 10 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists and sophomore Brody Reeds had 13 points and 17 rebounds.
Esperanza has a 10-game winning streak going into Thursday’s game at Esperanza.
CYPRESS 85, NORTE VISTA 65: The Centurions wrapped up the North Orange County Championships with a win Saturday night, according to Coach Derek Mitchell. Ryan Gov scored a career-high 38 points to lead Cypress.
Cypress (8-4) plays at San Clemente Thursday night.
