Villa Park High School’s baseball team improved its overall record to 18-5 with a 6-3 victory over Bishop Amat Thursday at Villa Park.
Owen Young came on in relief to earn the win for Villa Park. Jake Nobles got the save against a talented Bishop Amat team (19-5).
Villa Park was led offensively by Aidan Young who was 3 for 4 with a run scored, home run and two RBI and Val Lopez, who was 2 for 3 with a run scored and a double.
Villa Park resumes play with a non-league game Saturday at 11 a.m. at Ocean View. The Spartans (5-3 in league) then have a two-game Crestview League series with Foothill next week.
