Twelve boys basketball teams, including defending tourney champion Newport Harbor, are entered in the Century Elks Holiday Classic beginning Thursday, Dec. 26 at Century High.
Opening round match-ups, Thursday, Dec. 26: Newport Harbor vs. Century, noon; Fullerton vs. Valencia, 1:30 p.m.; Yorba Linda vs. La Salle, 7:30 p.m.; Peninsula vs. Westminster, 6 p.m.; Edison vs. Segerstrom, 4:30 p.m.; Sunny Hills vs. Brea Olinda, 3 p.m..
Friday, Dec. 27: Sunny Hills vs. Segerstrom, 6 p.m.; Edison vs. Brea Olinda, 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 28: Brea Olinda vs. Segerstrom, 3 p.m, Sunny Hills vs. Edison, 7:30 p.m.
There will be other games with schedules to be announced on both Friday and Saturday.
The championship game will be Monday, Dec. 30, at 7:30 p.m. The third place game will be at 6 p.m.
