A look at some of the top Orange County high school football performances of week two based on OC Sports Zone’s coverage, submissions from coaches and reports on X:
Noe Najera, Century: He had 11 carries for 116 yards and three touchdowns in Century’s 42-14 win over Azusa Thursday night. Century is off to a 3-0 start.
Derek Carillo, Century: He had eight carries for 86 yards and two TDs in the Centurions win.
Caden Jones, Crean Lutheran: The Saints quarterback had 13 completions in 17 attempts for 172 yards and two touchdowns in the Saints 48-0 victory over Liberty. Crean Lutheran is 3-0.
Jack Brucker, Northwood: Brucker was the Timberwolves top running back rushing for 108 yards on 18 carries in the 24-0 victory over Pacifica. Northwood is 3-0.
Cole Hidalgo, Northwood: He had eight catches for 93 yards including a 36-yard reception and on defense, had his first career interception.
Brandon Elder, Brea Olinda: The Wildcats wide receiver had 114 yards in receiving yards in the Wildcats 42-18 over Diamond Bar. Brea Olinda is 3-0.
Nathan Aceves, Brea Olinda: Aceves rushed for two touchdowns on 15 carries.
KC Cuillard, Tesoro: The senior had two pick sixes in the Titans 38-28 victory over La Mirada.
Carlos Guerrero, Santa Ana: The running back rushed for 265 yards and tied a career high with three touchdowns in the Saints 20-19 non-league win over Garden Grove.
Deacon Moss, Irvine: Moss had two touchdown catches in the Vaqueros 36-0 victory over crosstown rival Woodbridge.
Noah Nam, Beckman: The Patriots quarterback completed 13 of 16 passes for 236 yards and one touchdown and also rushed for two touchdowns in a 45-28 victory over Canyon.
Makhi Czaykowski, Beckman: He had 17 catches for 152 yards and two touchdowns.
CJ Bertoni, Beckman: Bertoni hauled in seven catches for 111 yards and a touchdown for the Patriots, who are off to a 3-0 start.
Nate Lewis, Villa Park: Lewis kicked the game-winning field goal in the Spartans 34-33 victory over Upland.
Tank Britton, Bolsa Grande: The quarterback completed 22 of 42 passes for two touchdowns in the Matadors 28-16 loss to Artesia.
Noah Tagaloa, Segerstrom: Tagaloa had three touchdowns, including one on an interception return to lead the Jaguars to a 50-7 victory over California.
Ozzy Granados, Santiago: He had had 19 carries for 191 yards and two touchdowns in the Cavaliers 38-36 victory over Savanna.
