Segerstrom’s Paul Roa signals a touchdown as Anthony Gomez scores in last week’s game.
Segerstrom football coach Joseph Tagaloa provided an encouraging update Monday regarding free safety and running back Farid Partida.
Partida, a junior, injured his hip making a play in last week’s game against Troy and was transported by ambulance to CHOC Hospital. It was the same hip that he had surgery on two years ago. Partida sat out from football his entire sophomore year.

Tagaloa said that Partida had to see his doctor, “this week in order to get cleared. The initial x-rays came back negative of any further injury. He is a tough kid and I expect him to be back on the field sooner than later.”
Segerstrom (3-1) defeated Troy 29-7.
It is not clear whether Partida will be available for Friday’s game against Laguna Hills at Segerstrom.
