In a battle between two of the best programs in the state, the No. 4 seeded Santa Ana College baseball team came out on top against the No. 5 seeded Cypress Chargers (30-15) to advance to the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) Southern California Regional Finals.Â
Santa Ana College went on to win game five 14-5.
Santa Ana College will now host the No. 13 seeded Fullerton Hornets in the California Community College Regional Finals (3C2A) after advancing with three wins in last weekend’s tournament.
In the regular season, the Dons took two of three games against Fullerton in the last series of Orange Empire Conference play.Â
The two teams will play another best of three games series from Friday, May 19 to Saturday, May 21 with the winner moving on to the 3C2A State Championships which will be held at Folsom Lake College from May 27-29.
