Saddleback High’s girls basketball team remained atop the Orange Coast League standings with a 60-39 victory over Costa Mesa Thursday night.
The Roadrunners are 13-8 overall and 4-0 in league play.
Karla Gutierrez led Saddleback with 17 points and five rebounds. Maria Martinez had 10 points and five assists, Karime Lopez had 10 points and Kendrah Lopez had an all-around solid game with six points, six rebounds, six assists and six steals.
Portola 64, Irvine 44: The Bulldogs (13-6, 3-1) won the Pacific Coast League game at Portola.
Allyson Tabayoyong scored 28 points and made eight 3-pointers, Moka Saiki had 15 pts and Sonia Maymoun 12 points and 26 rebounds to lead Portola. Maymoun had a school record 32 rebounds vs. University Tuesday.
Irvine (7-14, 0-4) was led by Sabrina Lomri with 13 points and Lika Amino with 11 points.
