Kennedy High School’s boys basketball team opened Orange Coast League play Friday night defeating visiting Segerstrom 51-46.

Kai Wilson led Kennedy (17-4, 1-0) with 14 points.
Segerstrom (8-9, 0-1) was led by Ricky Carballea who had 11 points. Elijah Harrizon added 10 points and Nick Cervantes nine points for the Jaguars.
Segerstrom’s next game is Wednesday, Jan. 8 at home vs. Orange. Kennedy hosts Ocean View on Wednesday.
