“It was another hard-fought victory for us. It took all four quarters to close the door on Fairmont Prep,” said Crean Lutheran Coach Randall Reynoso on Friday. “They are a team very much built like us and we knew they would be well-coached and eager to compete.

“We were utterly unable to stop their run game or tackle running back Jason Terry all night. Tackling and wrapping up was an issue. The defense did end the night with two big takeaways and an early goal line stand. “

Leading the way for Crean Lutheran was sophomore quarterback Brody Jones, who accounted for six touchdowns (four passing and two running) and “led the offense all night,” Reynoso said.

“We have a long way to go to be Empire League ready, but last night was another step in the right direction,” Reynoso said.
