Crean Lutheran’s girls basketball team had a strong showing last week at the Battle at the Beach Redondo Tournament, finishing 3-1.
The Saints were grouped in the gold division, which included teams that were either Division 1, 2AA or 2A, according to co-head coach Bianca Ziemann.
Crean Lutheran lost to Santa Monica 47-44, but was missing two starters who were out sick.

Crean Lutheran then defeated Leuzinger 67-49, Harvard Westlake 65-45 and Rolling Hills 69-58 in overtime.
“Crean Lutheran was the only team to beat D1 Harvard Westlake in their Pool,” Ziemann said. “Since the tourney is not based off margin of victory but fewest points the three-way tie went to Santa Monica (who lost to Harvard Westlake by six, beat us by three and beat Luezinger only by 10).”
The Saints Taylor Feldman earned all-tournament honors.
Against Harvard Westlake, Feldman had 33 points, three steals, nine rebounds and eight assists. Emily Reed had six points, two steals and three rebounds; Jane Hewitt had 10 points and four rebounds and Sydnee Norwood had five points and six rebounds.
In the victory over Rolling Hills Prep, Felman had 33 points, three rebounds, seven assists and two steals; Reed had 14 points, five assists and seven rebounds; Hewitt had 14 points, two assists, three steals and eight rebounds, Norwood had four points and 10 rebounds and Ashley Heyer had four points and eight rebounds.
Crean Lutheran will host Pacific Christian Wednesday at 6 p.m.
