“We told our players we wanted to get off to a fast start and execute at a high level,” said Capo Valley Coach Sean Curtis. “We probably played our best half of football so far this season by taking a 42-10 lead going into halftime.

“Our special teams and defense have played great all year. Our offense can be really good but we need to get more consistent. I would have liked to see us finish a little better once we got some other guys in but overall I’m happy with how our team is progressing. This team plays hard and puts the work in. I’m excited to see how we take on some of the best teams in the county going forward.

“It definitely doesn’t get any easier from here on out. We know that. But we just need to keep improving and focus on one week at a time.”

Capo Valley (3-2) was led by Jack Haley, who had five catches and 96 receiving yards and two touchdowns and two interceptions on defense; quarterback Dartanyon Moussiaux, who completed 20 of 24 passes for 243 yards and three touchdowns; Carter Byrd, who had seven solo tackles, one assisted tackles, three tackles for a loss and four quarterback hits/hurries; Josh Chervanka, who had five solo tackles, one assisted tackle, two tackles for a loss and two pass deflections and Justin Richardson, who had two solo tackles, two pass deflections and one interception.,
