Calvary Chapel High School’s girls basketball team opened the CIF 3A playoffs Thursday defeating Valencia 56-38 at Calvary Chapel.

Calvary Chapel, the No. 5 seeded team in the division, opened up a 30-18 halftime lead.

Micaela Hanning scored 18 points, Chloe Zazueta scored 14 points and Cassandra Zazueta eight points points to lead Calvary Chapel (23-6).

Anaya Beard scored 18 points and Izabella Boggs seven points to lead Valencia.
