Pacifica (no-hitter), Beckman, Trabuco, La Habra and Newport Harbor baseball teams win

PACIFICA 2, EDISON 0: The Mariners won their second in a row to start the season with a victory in the Loara Tournament. Chad Guernea got the win for Pacifica going the distance and throwing a no-hitter. He struck out six. Second baseman Tristin Brinkman was 1 for 3 with an RBI for Pacifica.

BECKMAN 11, LOS OSOS 3: Nolan Han was 3 for 4 and Carter Speights was 2 for 2 with a double and a triple to lead the Patriots in their season opener. Zach Ireland earned the opening day start and went five innings, allowing two hits.

TRABUCO HILLS 12, HEMET 8: The Mustangs were led by Tyler Collins, who was 3 for 3 with five RBI and a three run home run. Ryan Sison was 3 for with two doubles and an RBI, Joseph Gray was 1 for 2 with two RBI, Bobby Gray was 1 for 3 with a home run and Drew Barrett was 2 for 3.

LA HABRA 7, TUSTIN 6: The Highlanders were led by Rudy Andrade who had two RBI. Matt Padilla was 1 for 2 with an RBI and freshman Issac Aguirre pitched two strong innings to earn the save.

NEWPORT HARBOR 6, MISSION VIEJO 4: Trent Liolios had six strikeouts for Newport Harbor (3-0). AJ Guitron-Moore came on to get the save with three strikeouts.

Joey Wright was 1 for 3 with a double and two runs scored, Liolios was 2 for 4 with two RBI, Guitron-Moore was 1 for 2 with two RBI and Lucas Perez was 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI to lead the Sailors offensively.
