Pacifica Christian High School’s girls basketball team defeated South Gate High School 55-30 Tuesday night to improve its record to 6-1.
The Tritons, ranked No. 12 in the latest CIF 2AA polls, were led by junior Lauren Ham who had 26 points, including seven 3-pointers and senior Charis Wondercheck who added 17 points.
Pacifica Christian also had strong defensive efforts by freshmen Vivian Villagrana, Angie Martinez, Kassandra Aguiniga, and sophomore Chara Wondercheck who held South Gate to 30 points.
The Tritons are back in action this Friday night when they host the Panthers of Rosemead High School in Pacifica Christian’s annual Silent Night Game.
Tip off is 5:30 p.m. in the Triton Event Center.
