Pacifica Christian High School’s girls soccer team won its second straight match to start the season, defeating Capistrano Valley Christian 7-0 in the home opener Friday.
Senior midfielder Buze Harrison led in scoring with two goals but the Pacifica Christian freshmen were the ones who stood out. Four newcomers to the program scored with the opening goal coming from freshmen forward Talia Proctor, her third goal in two games.
The midfield trio of senior Buze Harrison, junior Leila Baughsen and freshmen Chloe Nguyen dominated the run of play.
Senior goalkeeper and Vanguard University commit Jo Snider recorded her second shutout and had to make only two saves.
The Tritons are back in action on Wednesday when they host Estancia at the Orange County Great Park at 3 p.m.
