It’s almost time for another rematch between Pacifica Christian and Fairmont Prep.
The two San Joaquin League schools will face off for the fourth time this year Thursday night at Fairmont Prep in the second round of the CIF Southern California Regionals.
Both squads won their regional openers. No. 4 Fairmont Prep beat No. 13 Palm Springs 51-41 while No. 5 Pacifica Christian defeated No. 12 Bakersfield Christian 69-68 in overtime.
Fairmont Prep has won the previous three meetings against Pacifica Christian, winning the CIF 4AA title game 52-49 Saturday. (Please click here to see a game story, photos and video of that game)
The winner of Thursday’s match moves on to the semifinals Saturday night against the winner of the game between No. 8 La Jolla Country Day and No. 16 University game.
