Orange High School football players and coaches are out to cap a special season with one more victory Friday night.
The Panthers, coached by Robert Pedroza, meet San Jacinto Friday night at 7 in the CIF Division 6 championship game at Fred Kelly Stadium.

Orange, the Orange Coast League champion, is trying to bring home the program’s fourth CIF championship. Orange, led by Pedroza, won the CIF Division 13 title in 2017, defeating Silver Valley 30-20 at Fred Kelly Stadium.
Orange (11-2) has won 10 in a row and defeated two seeded teams in the playoffs. The Panthers have scored more than 500 points, led by quarterback Hype Grand, who has thrown for more than 1,300 yards and 20 touchdowns. Running backs Kobe Boykin and Ardown Morris have been the stars in the backfield.
The Orange defense is led by Jaelen Lightfoot, who has more than 70 tackles and five interceptions.
San Jacinto (11-2) is trying to secure the school’s first CIF football title.
The Tigers captured the Mountain Pass League title and defeated two seeded teams in the playoffs.
The team has scored almost 600 points this year. Quarterback Dereun Dortch has thrown for more than
2,712 yards and 35 touchdowns. His favorite receivers are Vincent Holmes and Dillion Grisham.
The top running backs are Malachi Brown and David Myers. The defense is led by Tevita Tukunga, who has more than 90 tackles.
