CYPRESS 1, EL MODENA 0 (9 innings): The Centurions (3-3, 2-0) captured their second straight Crestview League shutout win with a victory over El Modena Saturday. Nick Nelson earned the win in relief for Coach John Weber’s Centurions. Tate Belfanti pitched the first 4 1/3 innings for Cypress. Drew Slevcove and Tyler Kaufman were the other pitchers for Cypress.
Spencer Kwon had the RBI single for Cypress. John Short scored the game-winning run.
WOODBRIDGE 9, FLINTRIDGE PREP 1: The Warriors won a makeup game Saturday at Ryan Lemmon Stadium. Vincent DeMarco (3-0) earned the win for Woodbridge pitching the first five innings. DeMarco has not allowed an earned run this season. He struck out nine and did not allow a hit or a run in five innings and also had two RBI and scored a run.
Nevan Namgoog was 2 for 3 with two runs scored, three RBI and three stolen bases for Woodbridge (6-2).
COSTA MESA 4, IRVINE 3: Troy Simmonds pitched a complete game for Costa Mesa, allowing five hits, three earned runs and striking out four. Wylan Rottschafer was 1 for 3 with two runs scored and a stolen base, Will Clark was 2 for 3 with an RBI, Jack Shafer was 1 for 1 with an RBI and Grady Jackson was 1 for 3 with a walk-off RBI single for Costa Mesa (4-4).
ESTANCIA 7, BRENTWOOD 6: Nico Viramontes (2-0) earned the win for Estancia (4-2). He pitched four innings, allowing one hit and no earned runs. Sawyer Atkinson was 2 for 4 with two runs scored, two RBI and a home run, Miles Dodge was 1 for 1 with two runs scored, an RBI and two stolen bases. He was also hit by a pitch twice.
Nico Viramontes was 1 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI and Athan Perez was 1 for 4 with a run scored and two RBI.
FULLERTON 8, CORONA DEL MAR 7: The Indians (5-2-1) overcame two comebacks by Corona del Mar, snapping the Sea Kings five game winning streak.
