A number of Orange County high school teams earned high rankings in this week’s CIF polls released on Monday.
Mater Dei, Santa Margarita, Foothill and JSerra are among the top 13 teams in Division 1, Tesoro is third and Orange Lutheran ninth in 2AA, Pacifica Christian is fourth in 2A, Orangewood Academy is second and Tustin 11th in 3AA and La Habra is second and Newport Harbor eighth in 3A.
El Toro is fifth and St. Margaret’s seventh in 4AA, El Modena is seventh and Santa Ana ninth in 4A, Irvine is fourth, Estancia eighth and Orange 10th in 5AA and Tarbut V’ Torah 11th and Santa Ana Valley 12th in 5A.
No Orange County teams earned No. 1 rankings in this week’s polls.
CIF officials also announced teams on the open division watch list. Orange County squads on the list are Crean Lutheran, Foothill, JSerra, Mater Dei and Santa Margarita.
