The Olive Orange Hurricanes 9-and-under youth baseball team opens the Bronco West Zone Championships on Thursday, July 13 vs. Ceres at 5:30 p.m. in Walnut.
Olive captured the regional championship in Irvine two weeks ago.
The winner of the zone championships moves on to the International Pony World Series in Vacaville, CA next week.
There are seven other teams in the tournament, including the host team Walnut, two other Southern California teams and squads from San Diego and Seattle.
The championship is Sunday, July 16 at 11 a.m.
